MONUMENT

Encik Wan want us go to the Jalan Zainal Abidin(Jalan Yahudi), at Penang Georgetown. This is because he want us to find the Jewish Cemetery(Kubur yahudi).He want us knows their history. Firstly we go to resourse centre to find the information about the way to Jalan Zainal Abidin.We go there after class.

It also have different logo...




We know from an aunty that no more jewish stay there.Jewish family will come back to visit their ancestor's grave.

Beside that,i also find ohter information and history to know more about Jewish Cemetery from internet:
"Jahudi Road (or Jew Road) in Penang where the majority of the Jewish population stayed has since been renamed Jalan Zainal Abidin, erasing another legacy of the Jewish presence in Malaysia. The only significant presence remaining is the Jewish Cemetery and the old disused synagogue."
"The oldest Jewish tombstone is dated July 9, 1835 dedicated to a Mrs. Shoshan Levi and is believed to mark the grave of the English Jew that was the benefactor who donated the land where the current cemetery stands. Most of the graves take the form of a triangular vaulted-lid casket, resembling ossuaries commonly found in Israel. There are approximately 106 graves located in the cemetery with the most recent tombstone dated 1978. It is the only cemetery established solely for the once small and thriving Jewish community in Peninsular Malaysia, although there may be a few Jewish graves in other non-Jewish cemeteries."

Encik Wan also required us to design a monument for ourself by using the bamboo. Below are my sketches.

LOOKING FORWARD

what can i contribute when 2012 coming ?

as future architect,i will try to design something that can float as much as possible people during coming of disaster.From 2012 movie,there is limited places for people.It is not fair for other that have no 2 billions.So,in future i want design and construct many many 2012 Ship that can float many people,then it can save many life...
Beside that,i want use my learnt knowledge to alert other people about environment conservation and preservation,so that can prevent 2012.I want raise their awareness about how importance to save earth.
But if disaster come, i also wil use my learnt knowledge to help other.I will teach them how to do and how to save their own life when disaster is coming.I will suggest them to use the black box that contain everything includes survival kits.The black box that i design is use to carry everywhere so that when somethings happen,the people can act fast to save himself and other.

And "what can i do in future??"

As future architecture i want design and construct a building that can face any disaster.I want
the building have many function.Not only for shelter but also place for save their life from disaster.
Beside that i want help all the unfortunity to have better life by construct a shelter for them.With a good shelter,they will life more happy.
And i want to design and construct a houses for my family.

LOOKING BACK

Looking backward...look from the day before entering USM...

When i was offered by USM,i was very excited and happy...i was even excited when i know architecture,my 1st choice was offered.That is my dream.That is my hope...so i shout over the house...

1st day in USM,i was accompanied by my dad and my mum.I am very happy when i saw my parents' face full of happiness and proudness.And on that day onward,i promised i will do everything to achieve my dream.During the orientation week,i recognised a lots of friends that now becomes my best best friends.they are not only with me when happy,but they are always be my side when i in trouble.I am luckily i have friend like them.We do activity together,we enjoyed it.








Beside that,we have hbp orientation and pimpin siswa.I learnt a lots from there especially responsibility and teamwork spirit.

After orientation,i am await to enter the class.The 1st lesson is studio 101.Our studio master is encik wan burhanuddin.He look fierce but actually he is friendly.I never ever know that 1st lesson has assignment.I was shock."What i heard"...how i start it?how do i built a blog?what should i write?....this questions come into my mind non-stop.but luckily i have a friend that is "pro".she help me..i very appreciate her..




"knowing the self" by dr.illias is a lecture that alway keep into my mind.i know what the hope when i entering the USM.My parent put big hope on me.so i have to strive and hard to achieve it.




Throught assignment like dot and line,sketches of convocation,human dimentions,natural structure(sketches of bamboo) and so on,helped improve my drawing skill.And importance,i found myself,i like drawing.







However,assignment like bamboo sound tool,mask and 6-balloon bamboo black box make me not only mentally strong but also physically strong.We have to chopped and carried the bamboo by ourself.Sometime we get injure.








I also learnt how to work together with other,exert teamwork spirit throught Urbanity and Merdeka Launch project. We give our own opinion and combine all the suggestions to achive better result.

All lecture and assignment had give me an opportunity to learnt new things,learnt coorperate with other,independance ,mature and most valuable and precious is friendship that many people said hard to find in university... ^^

We had been asked to design a survival kit based on the inventions by USM.

a)A New Generation of Fibre Source
From Jackfruit Seed Flour in
the Production of Health Bread
-Jackfruit seeds flour is a good source of dietary fibre,
protein and resistant starch(RS). The flour is easy to
process and can be incorporated into bakery
product without affecting the eating quality
-Bread is selected because it is easy to
process and eaten by all age groups and it is useful when disaster come.





b)Haruan Spray for Burn and Wound
-Aerosolspray containing Haruan Extract and Fusidic Acid as active ingredient that can produce synthetic skin(film)for treatment of burn and wound.
-Haruan (Canna Striatus)contains all essential amino acids and unique fatty acids which are able to accelerate wound healing.
-Aerosol's production process is sterile.Sterility is an important factor of dosage form for wound medication.
-Easy,plesant for patients and comfortable on the skin.
-Better wound management with minimal or no changes of bandages.
-The biocompatible film acts as barrier which prevents microbial infection of the wound.
-Haruan Spray is placed inside IBU to let the occupant inside can heal wound during disaster.





c)Novel Ecofriendly Method for Sterilization and Decolorization Using Bioplastic - TiO2 Composite Film
-Photocatalysis has been demonstrated to be an
inexpensive and effective method for treating a wide
range of pollutants in both water and air.
-The use of photocatalysis in water
purification provides new tools for preserving the
environment.
-Antimicrobia(to maintain sterile condition).
-Biodegradable(to create green environment.
-Decolorization(to treat industrial waste).
-Eco - friendly (biodegradable, sun - light as Activator) and user-friendly.
-TiO2 Composite Film fixed on IBU to treat the pollutant in air and water.





d)FireBuster-A Novel Automatic Fire Detection System
-FireBuster is a state-of-the-art automatic fire detection system integrated into surveillance camera symtem.
-Designed to identify a developing fire emergency in a timely manner ,and immediate alert the building's occupants for a emergency evacuation.
-Integrates easily into personal compuuter to meet individual requirements for alert thresholds and notification procedures.
-Multi -angle light scattering method analyze multi-spectra digital images that enables detection of a developing fire emergency within minutes ,helping to ensure safety of building occupants and minimize the loss of properties.
-FireBuster fixed on IBU can alert all the PONDOK for emergency evacuation during disaster.




e)UV B Radiation at Penang
-To measure harmful solar ultra-violet radiation reaching to earth surface.
-To provide much needed information on the radiation level climatology at present.
-To monitor possible ultra-violet radiation increses due to ozone depletion.
-To provide feedback on harmfuleffects of UV radiation.
-Fixed on IBU to alert PONDOK when harmful solar ultra-violet radiation detect.
