We had been asked to design a survival kit based on the inventions by USM.
The following inventions that includes in my survival kit:

a)A New Generation of Fibre Source
From Jackfruit Seed Flour in
the Production of Health Bread
-Jackfruit seeds flour is a good source of dietary fibre,
protein and resistant starch(RS). The flour is easy to
process and can be incorporated into bakery
product without affecting the eating quality
-Bread is selected because it is easy to
process and eaten by all age groups and it is useful when disaster come.
b)Haruan Spray for Burn and Wound
-Aerosolspray containing Haruan Extract and Fusidic Acid as active ingredient that can produce synthetic skin(film)for treatment of burn and wound.
-Haruan (Canna Striatus)contains all essential amino acids and unique fatty acids which are able to accelerate wound healing.
-Aerosol's production process is sterile.Sterility is an important factor of dosage form for wound medication.
-Easy,plesant for patients and comfortable on the skin.
-Better wound management with minimal or no changes of bandages.
-The biocompatible film acts as barrier which prevents microbial infection of the wound.
-Haruan Spray is placed inside IBU to let the occupant inside can heal wound during disaster.
c)Novel Ecofriendly Method for Sterilization and Decolorization Using Bioplastic - TiO2 Composite Film
-Photocatalysis has been demonstrated to be an
inexpensive and effective method for treating a wide
range of pollutants in both water and air.
-The use of photocatalysis in water
purification provides new tools for preserving the
environment.
-Antimicrobia(to maintain sterile condition).
-Biodegradable(to create green environment.
-Decolorization(to treat industrial waste).
-Eco - friendly (biodegradable, sun - light as Activator) and user-friendly.
-TiO2 Composite Film fixed on IBU to treat the pollutant in air and water.
d)FireBuster-A Novel Automatic Fire Detection System
-FireBuster is a state-of-the-art automatic fire detection system integrated into surveillance camera symtem.
-Designed to identify a developing fire emergency in a timely manner ,and immediate alert the building's occupants for a emergency evacuation.
-Integrates easily into personal compuuter to meet individual requirements for alert thresholds and notification procedures.
-Multi -angle light scattering method analyze multi-spectra digital images that enables detection of a developing fire emergency within minutes ,helping to ensure safety of building occupants and minimize the loss of properties.
-FireBuster fixed on IBU can alert all the PONDOK for emergency evacuation during disaster.
e)UV B Radiation at Penang
-To measure harmful solar ultra-violet radiation reaching to earth surface.
-To provide much needed information on the radiation level climatology at present.
-To monitor possible ultra-violet radiation increses due to ozone depletion.
-To provide feedback on harmfuleffects of UV radiation.
-Fixed on IBU to alert PONDOK when harmful solar ultra-violet radiation detect.
